Early Season Ranking of Midwest Collegiate Sailing Teams

Regional (MCSA Division) sailing resumed March 24th and 25th with the Freshman Icebreaker Regatta at Notre Dame. As of April 9th, 6 MCSA regattas have been conducted. Below represents the first rankings of the Spring 2012 sailing season. The ranking criteria are as follows:
  • Only teams competing in a minimum of 2 evaluated MCSA regattas were eligible for ranking
  • Ranking is based on the highest placing team from a given university at a regatta.
  • Ranking scores are weighted based on the number of teams (field size) competing in a regatta
  • For universities competing in more than 2 regattas, only the highest two ranking scores were used
  • Round robin-style regattas were not evaluated
  • Evaluated regattas for this cycle: Freshman Ice Breaker, Robert Morris Invitational, Wittenberg Regatta, Hawkeye Invitational, Buckeye Intersectional, Wet Your Willie
As always, these rankings are not sanctioned by the ICSA, MCSA or any participating team but are meant as a resource for discussion about Midwest regional collegiate sailing.
