TACS turns 20 this year and is having a fundraising Gala on October 4th. It would be a 4 hour trek for me, but for others who are a bit closer, this would be a worthwhile event.

High School Sailing Championships in Traverse City
In my opinion, Traverse Area Community Sailing (TACS) and the Grand Traverse Yacht Club, are at the forefront of high school sailing in Michigan. This is evident not only by the number of high school teams and workshops they support, but also in that they hosted the Chubb Championships this past August. The video below is one of several well-produced ones about this event. As the weather turns colder (49 for a high this Saturday), it is a great diversion to generate thoughts for next year.
